Ingredients for Another Gulab Jamun Recipe:
* 3 cups sugar
* 6 cups water
* 1 tbsp cardamom powder
* 2 tbsps rose water
* 3 cups powdered milk
* 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
* 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
* 1 cup thickened/ heavy/ double cream
* Vegetable/ canola/ sunflower oil for deep frying
Directions For Another Gulab Jamun Recipe:
1. Take out a pan, but not a shallow one, pour in water and bring it to a boil. Add sugar and stir until the sugar is compeltely dissolved in the boiling water. cut off the flame and then mix in both the rose water and cardamom powder, stirring until the total mixture is fully combined, then set this pan aside for now.
2. Now take the powdered milk, the baking powder and the flour and blend together thoroughly. Include the thickened cream a bit at a time, and afterward nead the dough until it is soft, but not the least bit sticky.
3. Separate the dough into the size of golf balls and grease up your palms to allow the dough to form into smooth balls.
4. Get out another pan, this one wide, and pour oil into it to warm up on either a low or medium heat.
5. Set in your dough balls, and keep them moving to brown all sides evenly. Never turn the flame up very high or you run the risk of torching the outside and leaving the inside of these dumplings raw and unheated.
6. After the dough has been cooked, use a spoon with slots to drain the oil and retrieve the dumplings, moving them over to the syrupy sugar concoction created earlier.
7. Do this over again and again with all the dumplings, until they have all been fried up in the oil and coated completely in the syrup.
8. The fried dumplings should take a bath in the syrup for a minimum of two hours.
9. These dumplings, or Gulab Jamuns at this point, would go well by pairing with any one of the following food items: either thick cream or ice cream, dried fruit that has been shaved, or slivers of almonds or pistachio nuts.
And Another Gulab Jamun Recipe is completed now, time to eat them.
